Hey, here’s one. You know the guy in Arizona who was running from police and the two TV helicopters crashed killing four guys? Well, how if they charge him with four counts of felony-murder?

After all, he should have foreseen that if he started a car chase that evenutally news copters would get involved and . . . maybe . . like crash.

[...] But wait, couldn’t the same reasoning be applied to non-DWIs? Let’s get back to Randy’s post “Should driving while license suspended result in a felony-murder charge?” You may have heard of defendant Kevin Fisher in Kansas City who is charged with felony-murder because he was in an auto accident and his passenger was killed. No Drugs or alcohol were involved. The reason he is charged with murder is that he was driving on a suspended license, normally a misdemeanor–but in his case, a felony because of his prior criminal record… [...]

Missouri is hanging on the shirt tails of California law makers ! this is total BS .Due to locking my keys inside. I was arrested for breaking into my own house ! and charged with felony breaking and entering for the fact it was a rental. What if it had happen in Missouri ?I suppose if some thief decided to climb through the window and slipped and cut his throat on the glass and dies i would be arrested for felony murder . I have noticed that Missouri has been under the same influence as California maybe it should be a felony to write laws while ignorant”wwi” then we will see if the same applies if someone is killed because some type of law passed .then in all legality the whole group responsible for passing such law would be subject to a felony-murder charge.

Excellent statement. Why do police go after drunk drivers? Because they are far more less likely to get shot when pursuing more dangerous people.

Some one said that it would be “more feasible to fence the entire state of Missouri,” rather send the cops out to chase real felons.

Perhaps someday I can sit outside in my car at a bar and help the cops catch a judge as he leaves……………?
